Once you’ve decided to get veneers, it only takes around two visits to the dentist to get this treatment.
The first visit involves consultation with your dentist and the initial dental work. This can include general cleaning, filling cavities, or getting implants. During the first visit, your dentist will also remove a thin layer of enamel from your teeth to prepare it for the molding process.
After prepping your teeth, the dentist will get impressions. These will be the basis of your veneers.
As you wait for your veneers to get made, the dentist will fit you with a temporary restoration. Take this time in-between appointments to consider whether you’re happy with the color and shape of your temporary veneers.
On your second visit, when you’re satisfied with the final veneers, it’s time to remove the temporary restoration and place the permanent veneers with a bonding glue. You’ll leave the dental clinic with a brand new smile!
